Ramna Safeer
Associate
Ramna joined the Class Actions Department in 2023, upon completing a clerkship at the Federal Court in Ottawa. Ramna articled at Koskie Minsky before beginning her clerkship with Justice Shirzad Ahmed.
Ramna graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2021. While at Osgoode, Ramna was Managing Editor of TheCourt.ca, served as Vice-President of the Law Students’ Society of Ontario, and competed on the Osgoode team in the Jessup International Law Moot, where she won a Top Oralist award.
Ramna has worked as a legal researcher at the Canadian Women’s Foundation, an intern at the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, and a research assistant to Professor Benjamin Berger.
Ramna immigrated to Canada from Pakistan as a child and was raised in Scarborough. Her practice is informed by her roots. Ramna is a strong believer in the power of radical empathy and using the law as a tool to build a better world.
