Caitlin Leach
Associate
Caitlin joined the Class Actions Department in 2021, after completing a clerkship at the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
Caitlin graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School with the gold medal in 2020. She placed first in her class throughout law school and received course awards in civil procedure, criminal procedure, administrative law, climate change law, and property law. While at Osgoode, she served as a student editor of the Journal of Law and Social Policy, organized a symposium on prisoners’ rights, and spent a semester representing tenants in the Housing Rights Division at Parkdale Community Legal Services.
Prior to starting law school, Caitlin worked in refugee settlement. After moving to Canada from Scotland in 2012, she worked for several years at a non-profit, providing housing and support to newly-arrived refugee families. Before and during law school, she worked at a law firm assisting refugee claimants and immigration detainees. She continues to volunteer on projects serving the refugee community.
Caitlin is passionate about using the law to pursue systemic change and to hold governments and corporations accountable.
