Ron Lebi is the firm’s Director of Research and Legal Education and is an experienced labour lawyer and administrative law practitioner. He is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to Bar in 1984.
Prior to joining Koskie Minsky, Ron acted for many years as Senior Solicitor at the Ontario Labour Relations Board. In that capacity, he provided legal counsel and policy advice to adjudicators and staff on a wide range of issues related to more than a dozen statutes administered by the Board. Ron also has extensive experience in judicial review matters and has appeared on close to 200 such cases at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
Interested in legal writing and education, Ron has been a member of the part-time faculty at Osgoode Hall Law School, an editor of Ontario Labour Relations Board Law and Practice (3d) and the OLRB Reports, and is the author of “Taking the Labour Board to Court” published in The Advocates Quarterly. Ron writes and edits two Koskie Minsky publications: the bi-monthly Talking Union, as well as a regular electronic newsletter, Labour Board Briefs.
