Vlad Calina

Vlad is an associate in the class action group. Vlad has significant experience in multi-jurisdictional and cross-border class actions, including cases involving competition, securities and consumer protection law. Prior to focusing on class actions, Vlad had a broad commercial litigation practice comprising complex contract disputes, class actions, competition litigation, securities litigation, and shareholder disputes.

Vlad has acted in matters before all levels of court across Canada. Vlad has been counsel on several leading civil and class action cases, acting for both plaintiffs and defendants.

Prior to joining Koskie Minsky, Vlad was a litigation associate at leading litigation boutique and a national law firm. Vlad clerked at the Court of Appeal for British Columbia and summered with the Ontario Securities Commission Enforcement Branch.

During law school, Vlad received several notable academic and mooting awards, including the Norman Levy Prize in Jurisprudence and the Dickson Medal for Exceptional Oralist Performance in the Gale Cup Moot.
