Koskie Minsky University Lecture in Labour Law, University of Western Ontario
November 25, 2013
The Koskie Minsky University Lecture in Labour Law was held at Western University, in London Ontario on Friday October 25, 2013. Our Lecturer was Mr. Justice Thomas Cromwell of the Supreme Court of Canada. This was the Eighth Koskie Minsky Lecture, with the Lecture Series starting in 2003.
Mr. Justice Cromwell’s Lecture was delivered to a full and attentive audience of students, practitioners, academics, and other members of the legal and labour relations communities. Graham Williamson, a Koskie Minsky partner and Head of our Labour Department, provided a thoughtful and personal introduction to Justice Cromwell. In his Lecture, Mr. Justice Cromwell addressed a number of themes regarding “Rights at Work”, which were picked up and amplified during the Heenan Blaikie Labour Law Conference, held on Saturday October 26, 2013. After the Lecture, Koskie Minsky LLP sponsored a reception and dinner which allowed the attendees to visit with Mr. Justice Cromwell in a more informal and social setting.
The Koskie Minsky University Lecture in Labour Law is an event which our firm is proud to present, as it allows us to interact with law students and give back to the community.
