We are pleased to advise that we have reached an Agreement in Principle to settle this class action. We believe that this agreement is fair, reasonable and in the best interests of the class members in this important action. We are currently unable to provide full details of the agreement because certain terms remain subject to ongoing negotiations.

The broad contours of the Agreement in Principle are as follows:

- - Direct compensation will be payable to victims;
  - The maximum compensation per class member will be $350,000; and,
  - The claims process will be trauma-informed and culturally sensitive.

There is a settlement approval hearing currently scheduled for October 27, 2023. As soon as more information and details become available, they will be posted here.
