On November 15, 2017, the Ontario Superintendent of Financial Services announced that as of January 1, 2018, Morneau Shepell Ltd. would take over the continuing administration of five Stelco defined benefit pension plans, including the Hamilton Salaried Plan and the Lake Erie Salaried Plan.
