Koskie Minsky LLP has commenced class proceedings in Ontario and British Columbia against Marriott International, Inc.
The claims allege that Marriott failed to protect its customer’s data and failed to discover the breach at an earlier date. Marriott’s failures have jeopardized the personal information of millions of Marriott’s customers.
On November 30, 2018 Marriott announced that approximately 500 million hotel guests may have had their information stolen. More information on the breach can be found here.
The claims are brought on behalf of all Canadian residents whose personal information was improperly accessed as a result of the Marriott Data Breach.
