Arleen Huggins Receives 2020 Law Society Medal

On December 8, 2020, Arleen Huggins received the Law Society Medal. In presenting the award via a virtual ceremony, Teresa Donnelly, the Treasurer of the Law Society of Ontario, mentioned Arleen’s tireless efforts over the course of her career to benefit the profession as a whole. Through her work with the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, amongst others, Arleen has been an advocate for and mentor to law students and lawyers, and in particular new lawyers, Black lawyers and women lawyers. She is a trusted adviser, a skilled litigator and a tenacious champion for those who need a voice.
A graduate of University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Arleen articled at Koskie Minsky, was called to the Bar as a member of our firm, and is a longstanding Partner in our Litigation Department and Employment Law Group. It is an honour to have Arleen as a friend, Partner and colleague. Congratulations!
