Donna Gray (Industrial Relations Specialist)
We are pleased to announce our formal affiliation with Donna Gray, an industrial relations practitioner with expertise in the post-secondary education sector. Under this arrangement, she will provide consultative advice and services to the firm’s clients, especially in the post-secondary sector.
Ms. Gray has worked in the labour movement for more than 30 years and since 1991 has served the post-secondary education sector first as a researcher, then as Research Director with the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations (“OCUFA”). In these roles, she has worked in Ontario as part of Canada’s post-secondary labour movement to provide strategic advice for collective bargaining, the protection of member rights, and the resolution of disputes. Ms. Gray has been a powerful advocate for post-secondary workers and has long been committed to strengthening faculty associations and improving the working conditions of all post-secondary employees.
“I am excited and honoured to work with the excellent lawyers at KM to advance and defend good jobs for all workers in the post-secondary education sector,” said Gray. “I look forward to continuing to serve a sector I am passionate about in collaboration with such a respected firm.”
Laurie Kent, a Partner in Koskie Minsky’s labour relations practice noted that “the combination of legal and industrial relations expertise will bring new depth and breadth to the advice we are able to provide and the strategies we are able to create.”
“Donna Gray is a wonderful person to have on board. She has tremendous sector knowledge and strategic acumen and adds key dimensions to our work in Canada’s post-secondary sector,” adds Murray Gold, a Partner in Koskie Minsky’s pension and benefits practice.
